How to calculate attendance
Attendance % = classes attended ÷ classes conducted × 100. The calculator below uses that formula.
Target attendance
Your attendance
80.00%
Target: 75%
You're above your target.
32 attended / 40 conducted. Missed: 8. You can miss 2 more classes.
This is the mathematical percentage from the numbers you enter. Your college can also apply condonation, medical leave, practical minimums, subject minimums, exam eligibility, rounding, or exclusions. Those rules are not applied here. Students often call the classes you can miss a bunk limit. It is still just this count.
Worked example
32 classes attended and 40 classes conducted: 32 ÷ 40 × 100 = 80.00%. That is the mathematical attendance. It is not, by itself, a statement that you are eligible for an exam.
Colleges differ. Some use 75% of an aggregate. Some use a minimum in every subject. Some allow condonation below the cutoff, and some round the percentage. Set the target in the calculator to the number your own regulation uses, and read that regulation before you treat the result as eligibility.
